Ingredients: ·
200g self-raising flour ·
50g butter or
margarine ·
100g mature
cheddar cheese ·
100ml milk ·
2 tablespoon
tomato puree ·
A handful of
chives or 2 spring onions |

Method: 1.
Switch on oven
200 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a flat baking tray 2.
Grate cheese onto
a plate. Chop chives or spring onion, set aside. 3.
Put flour and
butter/margarine into bowl, using fingertips rub to a crumb. 4.
Add half of
grated cheese, mix, then add enough milk to make a soft but not sticky dough. 5.
Roll dough out
to oblong, spread over tomato puree, then sprinkle over cheese and spring
onion/chives. Roll up firmly, starting at edge nearest you. 6.
Cut into 8
equal portions and place cut side up on baking tray. Bake for 10-15 minutes
until golden brown. |
