Year 7: Burger and Potato

Ingredients: Potato wedges: ·
2 large
potatoes ·
Oil ·
Salt and pepper |
Burger: ·
200g minced
meat – usually beef, but can be anything of your choosing ·
Half an onion ·
1 tablespoon
fresh breadcrumbs ·
Salt and pepper |

Method: ·
Potato wedges 1.
Switch on oven
to 200 degrees. Put a pan of salted water to boil. 2.
Wash potatoes and
cut into wedges. Add to pan and parboil for 5 minutes. 3.
Strain potatoes
using colander. Spread out on flat baking tray. Sprinkle with oil, salt and peppers.

Bake in the
oven until golden and fluffy, whilst
you make your burger. ·
Burger 5.
Peel and finely
chop onion and put in bowl with rest of ingredients. Take a small amount of
your burger mix and cook to check seasoning. If you are satisfied, then
divide into equal balls and flatten slightly to form your burgers. 6.
Cook in frying
pan or under grill until brown on both sides. 7.
Serve in a bun
with salad or cheese slice and the potato wedges. |
